Weekend Notes + A Few Favorites
I have such a love hate relationship with Sunday. While it tends to be a pretty casual day in our house, staying home, cooking, relaxing, it also tends to be filled with mental prepping for the week ahead. So while the kids were in Portland over the weekend, Jake and I stayed home to get some projects done around the house, and play catch up on work projects to come. And eating handfuls of my favorite winter fruits, clearly.
Now Sunday is here, the kids will be returning soon and and the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree begins. I struggle with balancing mom life and work life, often. As I am constantly thinking about "what needs to get done". But I'm excited for my babies to return, drink some hot chocolate, make some more cookies, and decorate the tree. Because before I know it, Christmas will have come and gone. And I'll still have piles of work to do. So today, I am embracing in the moment, enjoying this quiet morning, and eagerly anticipating this great day.
Here are a few of my favorite things, Happy Sunday, xxoo.
