weekend notes
Happy Monday? I'm not so sure, but I'm giving it a go.
How was your weekend? Ours was busy! Some parts fun, some parts relaxing, other parts stressful, but overall pretty nice. Well, except for the being sick in bed all day Sunday thing. Sunday/Funday, I think not.
Our long weekend kicked off with a trip to the fair. Could I have used more hand sanitizer, probably not. Either way we had fun. Lola is finally tall enough to go on a few rides. She loved the roller coaster, I did not.
Hudson and Lola spent the rest of the weekend at their grandparents, while Jake and I did a mini road trip to Eastern Washington. It was fun to catch up with some old friends and hang out with their daughter Sunny. After we got back I attended a class at WildCraft Studio School. Saturday was spent hiking through White Salmon gathering flowers, plants, berries, and more for our Natural Dyes class. I was completely bummed to miss Sundays class, but hope to make it back up to the beautiful studio here soon.
I had a empty house all weekend, which was nice to work on a few projects, like finally finishing Hudson's DIY chair (later this week on the blog). But not so fun being alone during a power outage from the storm we had Friday night (sitting in the dark, with Jake's headlamp on, watching a movie and drinking a beer). Oh well, I will be more prepared next time.
Hope you had a great weekend!
